The Piedmont City Council unanimously approved its consent calendar at the Oct. 20 meeting, approving four standard items by a single motion and voice vote.
Mayor Betsy Smigle Anderson summarized consent items: approval of the Oct. 6 meeting minutes; the second reading of Ordinance 784 to amend Chapter 17 (planning and land use) to implement the Muruga Canyon specific plan; a resolution authorizing the city administrator to represent the city for phase 6 of the sanitary sewer rehabilitation project; and employment resolutions covering confidential, professional/technical/supervisory, and recreation/childcare units through June 30, 2029. Vice Mayor moved the consent calendar and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
Effect: All four consent items were approved without discussion or public comment; the ordinance in the consent calendar was recorded as a second reading item and will proceed per the city's ordinance schedule.
