At its Sept. 10 meeting the Town of Huron Zoning Board of Appeals took the following formal actions: it approved the minutes from Aug. 13, 2024; noted the withdrawal of application 1204-24A (Timothy McGuire); and approved three applications — 1203-24SP (6478 Ann Lee Dr., storage structure) 7-0, 1205-24SP (8249 Dogwood Rd., roof over boat hoist) 7-0, and 1206-24A (7168 Lake Bluff Rd., front-yard setback variance) 6-0 with one abstention. Each approval included a stipulation limiting lighting to prevent nuisance impacts (the boat-hoist permit also specifies navigation protections for Port Bay).
Procedural actions recorded in the minutes include acceptance of Short Environmental Assessment Forms (Part II) for the three items and reading of an LWRP recommendation letter. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bob Lannon at 7:00 p.m. and adjourned at 7:22 p.m. by Lannon; Diane Bean is recorded as the Zoning Board clerk.
