Spectrum inquiry for Crescent Beach runs into Coastal Erosion Law, town told

Building Inspector Roger Gallant told the board that the Department of Environmental Conservation had contacted him about a Spectrum inquiry to bring internet to Crescent Beach. Attorney Amy Kendall said she received a call from Spectrum's attorney; Spectrum wants to go before the Zoning Board of Appeals but Gallant noted the proposal appears to be against the Coastal Erosion Law as written.
Supervisor Fantuzzo said he would speak with the Zoning Board about the issue. The minutes record that the January deadline for the ZBA had passed; no ZBA hearing or timeline was recorded in the minutes and no vote or formal referral was taken at the Dec. 17 meeting.
