Hudson Falls trustees approve annual schedule, appointments and legal contracts

The resolution sets regular monthly meetings for the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m., except June, July and August when meetings will be held at 4:00 p.m. The board also designated the Chronicle of Glens Falls as the village's official newspaper and approved contracts with the Senior Center of the Kingsbury and Fort Edward Areas, Inc. and the Hudson Falls Free Library Association to provide services and facility access as set in the annual budget.
The board appointed Antonio Izzo as the village's Public Health Officer on an independent contractor basis at an annual fee of $1,800, payable in twelve equal installments, and authorized a contract for those duties. The trustees also approved the appointment of William L. Nikas, Esq. as Village Attorney at an annual fee of $38,000 payable in monthly installments and authorized reimbursement of out-of-pocket legal expenses. The board approved Elena DeFio Kean, Esq. as Special Counsel for labor and municipal bonding matters under terms reflected in an existing contract.
Trustee Michael Horrigan moved and Trustee James Gallagher Jr. seconded the omnibus package; it passed unanimously. The resolutions also included routine administrative authorizations such as naming check-signing designees and designating Glens Falls National Bank & Trust Co. as a village depository with specified signature authority.
