The council voted to proceed with the rebranding committee's preferred entrance sign design (Concept A) and to omit organizational panels that listed local groups. Ashley, who presented the design options, said Concept A was the most readable and aligned with already approved branded items such as banners and other templates. She told the council the committee recommended Concept A and suggested leaving off the organizational panel to avoid favoritism and added upkeep.
Councilors discussed placement height, snow concerns and future fundraising if organizations want panels in the future. Marcus Serta and other council members supported Concept A and removing the organizational panel. Ashley said staff would work with the public works director and a sign company on final placement and dimensions and aimed to start internal staff rollout by June 1 and public rollout by July 1, with a potential sign unveiling around that date.
