Miss Smith demonstrated the district's new website and said the design aims to reduce clicks, centralize department information and link directly with ParentSquare to push calendar events and updates to parents automatically.
She described specific features: a one-stop calendar that updates from ParentSquare posts, clickable images and quick links on school pages, consolidated department pages (health services, human resources), and a mobile-friendly preview. "So, again, pretty pretty user friendly," Miss Smith said while showing the draft site. She noted the district will continue editing content, hide inapplicable rollover items and train two secretaries (one on each side of the district) to maintain school pages over the summer.
Board members discussed mobile access and praised the clarity the new site is intended to provide for parents and staff. The presentation was informational; no formal vote was required.
