Town officials reported progress on local infrastructure projects.
Highway Superintendent Gerritt Reyn said crews began the Port Bay culvert project and worked a 14‑hour day recently; shoulders and a double surface treatment were applied in August to prepare for winter. Dave Doyle reported WD9 has about 70% of pipe installed, with Lasher Road expected to be finished the first week of October and Brown Road on Oct. 21; a substantial completion date was noted as 11/10. For WD10, town staff have met with bulk users and the next step is establishing the district with a Map, Plan and Report; timing depends on petition signings and major landowners' assessed values.
