The council discussed whether to appoint a voting delegate for the Vermont League of Cities and Towns (VLCT) special meeting scheduled virtually on June 22 and agreed to have staff review the materials on the VLCT website for items of substantive concern. A motion to appoint Bethany Clark as the city’s voting delegate for the special meeting passed unanimously on a voice vote.
Councilors noted the meeting’s items appeared largely ministerial (governing rules, bylaws, incorporation questions) but asked staff to flag any items that warrant further council guidance before the June 22 meeting. Regina (city manager) said staff will review the VLCT agenda and, if needed, place significant items on the June 10 city meeting agenda for direction to the delegate.
