Court facilities budget cuts and large road grant reimbursements highlighted

The court facilities presenter told the board the court facilities fund request is down roughly $50,000 based on historical spending, trimming repair and building maintenance lines to $25,000 and $15,000 respectively.
"This is a pretty big decrease, a $50,000 decrease," the presenter said, and noted the fund receives revenue from court fines to offset expenses. The presenter also included a modest generator maintenance quote and kept court security maintenance near last year's spending.
Separately, staff reviewed road paving grants and large reimbursable projects administered through the county. Staff listed key projects: a remaining reimbursement on County Road 229; a County Road 125 ("Willie Griffith") reimbursement of $3,200,000; a Union County-to-I-10 corridor design year in FY26 with construction costs estimated at $4,600,000 in 2027; and another Counter Road project partly funded by FEMA.
