Council agreed Oct. 7 to change the borough's employee health insurance provider for 2025 if estimated termination and run-out costs would not exceed $42,000. Borough Manager Cindy Wells and Councilor Brian Osborn had met with Municipal Benefit Services to review plan options and expected to receive detailed rate information on Oct. 15.
Manager Wells said, "There will be a cost for termination however the insurance would save us $13,730/year." Councilor Osborn moved to change providers for 2025 if termination costs would not exceed $42,000; Councilor Steadman seconded. The minutes record that Riley Cross and James Kerns abstained from voting; the motion carried with recorded abstentions.
