Small-business owner urges council not to delay Bradford revitalization

William Stanton, owner of Tony's Deli and a lifelong Placentia resident, addressed the council during oral communications to urge continued support for the Bradford revitalization project. Stanton described his family history in Placentia, said he invested heavily in a new location on Bradford, and warned that pausing the revitalization would harm new and small businesses relying on the project to attract patrons.

Stanton asked council members to "join me in that" and not to let the project stall, saying, "We have put our trust and effort into the city and we expect the city doesn't immediately destroy that." His remarks followed other public comments on pathway maintenance and project impacts. Council did not take immediate action on the revitalization during the meeting; the comments were recorded in the public comment period.
