The Floodwood School District board conducted first readings of the 2025–2026 Student Handbook, the 2025–2026 Activities/Employee Handbook and the 2025–2026 Preschool Handbook at its May 12 working session. The board deferred final approvals to the regular meeting to allow time for edits and consistency checks.
Board members and staff flagged inconsistencies between Schedule C and field-trip absence language across handbooks and employment contracts. Administrative Assistant Ashley Engh was assigned to compile how other districts handle these issues and to collect Senior Trip procedures for discussion at the next working session. "Discussion took place on schedule C vs Field trip absences and inconsistencies between handbook and contracts," the minutes say.
