CEO Chris Whipple informed the board that Carrier Salvage & Recycling has not contacted the office to schedule the required premises inspection for junkyard license renewal. Town Attorney Ed Brockman and board members said the company will likely need to reapply because the existing license was due to be renewed by April 1, 2024 and the inspection requirement was not met.
No motion to revoke or reissue a license was made at the March 11 meeting; the board indicated it expected the company to either schedule the inspection or submit a new application for licensing. Town staff will follow up on the compliance status and report back to the board.
