Resolution No. 02-2025: The board established itself as SEQR lead agency for the proposed Local Law to adopt FEMA-updated Flood Damage Prevention Regulations, classified the action as Type I, and directed legal counsel to prepare Part I of a Full Environmental Assessment Form (FEAF). A public hearing for the proposed flood law was scheduled for March 11, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The roll call vote adopting Res. 02-2025 was unanimous (Ayes: Richard Craig, Nicholas Baranowski, Brent Walton, Malcolm MacKenzie, David Ferry).
Resolution No. 03-2025: The board adopted a six-month moratorium on the submission and processing of short-term rental applications, referred the draft moratorium to the Yates County Planning Board pursuant to GML 239-m, and scheduled a public hearing for March 11, 2025 at 7:05 p.m. The moratorium passed 3–2 (Ayes: Malcolm MacKenzie, Nicholas Baranowski, Richard Craig; Noes: David Ferry, Brent Walton). The board directed counsel to revise the hardship-application fee from $500 to $200 in the draft moratorium.
Other actions: The clerk certified the minutes and resolutions; the board briefly adjourned to a closed session for legal counsel and then returned to adjourn the public meeting at 7:45 p.m.
