Board accepts donations totaling tens of thousands for school programs

During the Dec. 8 meeting the board approved a resolution accepting numerous monetary and in-kind donations to district programs. The gifts recorded in the minutes include:
- $5,188 from the Litchfield Gymnastics Booster Club for a gymnastics competition landing mat; - $10,000 from Lee Hollaar for high-school 3D printing project supplies; additional gifts from Lee Hollaar for photography equipment and a $15,000 contribution toward future projects; - $4,000 from LDC Hockey Boosters for HS HUDL for boys hockey; - $1,000 from the Eagles for the high-school dance program; and smaller donor contributions to Ripley and FFA projects.
Provencher introduced the donation resolution and Danielson seconded; the board approved it on a roll-call vote 4-0. The minutes record the roll-call: Provencher-Aye, Oster-Aye, Danielson-Aye, Carlson-Aye; two members were absent.
