Custer County supervisors approve payroll and major vendor claims

The Custer County Board of Supervisors approved payroll and vendor claims for multiple county funds at its July 28 meeting, recording General Fund payroll of $131,142.51 and Road Fund payroll of $92,727.02.
Chairperson Blowers called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m., and the board then approved the General Fund claims on a motion by Govier, seconded by Kleeb; the clerk recorded the roll call as unanimous. The minutes list specific General Fund items including legal and support services and routine utility and highway department charges.
Road Fund claims and large materials and equipment purchases were also approved (motion by Govier, seconded by Markham). The Road Fund claims list includes payments to Vance Bros., Murphy Tractor & Equipment and Martin Marietta Materials among others; the board recorded Road Fund expenses and fuel charges supporting summer maintenance work.
The Communications Fund and other smaller funds (Preservation & Modernization; Reuse Grant transfer) were approved in separate motions. The board completed its routine claims approvals by roll call before moving on to resolutions and the Board of Equalization business.
The clerk noted the meeting notice had been published on July 23, 2026, and the next regular meeting agenda will remain open for inspection at the office of the Custer County Clerk.
