The Litchfield Public Schools board on Oct. 13, 2025 voted to allow fundraising to support students who want to participate in an exchange trip to Germany planned for June 2026 and a possible additional spring-break trip. The motion to permit fundraising, moved by Marcia Provencher and seconded by Stephanie Danielson, carried 5-0.
Presenters Carrie Larson and Kristina Schneider gave information about the GAPP program and asked the board to permit fundraising to reduce student costs. The board’s action authorizes fundraising activity only; it does not itself allocate district funds to the trip. The agenda item noted the planned June 2026 trip as the primary exchange opportunity.
