Township to temporarily pay $3,500 for park Phase 2 work, to be reimbursed if grant is approved

The Gilpin Township board agreed to authorize a $3,500 payment to cover an invoice from Call Associates related to the township's Phase 2 park grant application and said the amount will be reimbursed if the Phase 2 grant is approved.
"That $3,500 can be can be and will be reimbursed when it that phase 2 grant this fall is approved," the park report presenter said, explaining the township will temporarily use general funds and reimburse the account if the grant award arrives.
Board members noted that the township has additional transfer tax revenue this year and that the check can be taken from general funds until DCNR releases Phase 2 funds. The invoice was placed on the bills list and the board approved payment by voice vote.
