The Gilpin Township board on a voice vote approved repairs to a township Sterling truck after members said the invoice exceeded the spending threshold.
"I'd like to make a motion to move forward with the repairs to the Sterling," Chair Donna Redler said, and the motion carried after members voiced assent. The repair estimate discussed at the meeting was approximately $2,046.49.
Board members did not debate alternative vendors during the meeting; the repair was described by the road supervisor as necessary maintenance. The motion was recorded as approved and the repair may proceed from available funds.
The board adjourned to handle remaining agenda items and scheduled an executive session on personnel afterward.
