Daryl Mowery introduced two new employees — Scott Klein and Cade Bone — noting each is a Simpson County native, their education and family details and their relevant skills (CDL license for one; equipment and mechanical experience for the other). Mowery asked commissioners and the public to welcome them to city service.
Major G Thompson reintroduced Debbie Steele, saying she began her career with the Franklin Police Department and returns with about 18 years of law enforcement experience, including patrol and supervisory roles and certifications as a firearms and defensive-tactics instructor; Thompson also noted multiple awards. City attorney Amanda East administered the oath of office for Officer Steele. “Debbie actually began her career here, in Franklin at the Franklin Police Department where she served 10 years... now she's coming back with us with, approximately 18 years of law enforcement,” Thompson said during the introduction.
