Highland Falls honors officers for lifesaving response to suicide attempt

"The actions of these officers were instrumental in preventing loss of life and contributed significantly to his survival under circumstances where the loss of life was evident and imminent," the mayor read from the chief's account. The board presented certificates and ribbons in recognition of the officers' swift actions and professionalism. No disciplinary or investigative issues were raised during the recognition item; the presentation emphasized gratitude for emergency responders' service.
