Wally Walters and the Comprehensive Plan committee told the board they met Oct. 9 to prepare for an open house on Oct. 17, with a community survey scheduled to go live after that event and a project website expected to launch the following week. Walters said committee members had interviewed local students about joining the committee and scheduled the next meeting for Nov. 18.
Supervisor Stanley and committee members framed the open house as the first major public engagement step in updating the town's comprehensive plan. The board encouraged community attendance and noted online follow-up tools will be available to capture resident feedback.
