Board approves consent agenda; new district clerk sworn in

The board approved a consent agenda that included personnel recommendations, committee recommendations and auditor reports; minutes from the Oct. 6 meeting were approved with one abstention recorded.
During the consent-agenda vote the chair asked for motions; the board approved the items and noted that one trustee, Renee, abstained on the minutes. Following those votes the board administered the oath of office to the district clerk. The clerk recited the statutory oath: "I do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of The United States and the constitution of the state of New York and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of school district clerk of the Jamesville DeWitt Central School District," after which board members congratulated the clerk.
The board moved next into reports and new business after the oath and the consent-agenda approvals.
