Applicant engineer Amir Namaq Farooch, president of Southtown Engineering, addressed the commission and described the drainage easement and technical approach. “We are utilizing porous pavers…we have an underdrain system that is routed to the wet pond that’s adjacent to us,” Farooch said, adding the pond and underdrains were designed to handle the additional runoff and that coordination was ongoing with TxDOT and City engineering reviewers.
After discussion and verification remarks from staff that they would confirm that lot coverage did not exceed design allowances, the commission voted to forward a recommendation to council; the recorded roll call in the meeting produced five ayes and one no.
