District celebrates Learning by Design award for CTE wing and recognizes student athletes

Board members and staff celebrated a Learning by Design award that recognized the district's career-and-technical-education (CTE) wing. S2 said the recognition appeared in Learning by Design magazine and that the district received a plaque from Wold and suggested placing it at the CTE entrance. "This is a nationwide award," S2 said, noting the design work by Wold and crediting staff and Mark Johnson for bringing the project to life.
Board members praised the hands-on programming and the work of teachers preparing students for CTE opportunities. The board also acknowledged multiple student athletes and staff for conference honors in softball, golf and soccer; Chair said the board will sign notes of appreciation for the recognized students and staff.
