Staff said the audio/video initiative will include parent notification, signage on buses and a placement plan to put two notices per bus.
On academic standards, staff explained the district is updating policy language to align with a shift in scheduling: "Just changing from semesters to trimesters," S2 said. The board approved identifying pupil academic standards in math, science, reading, writing, geography and history for both the high school and the virtual academy for the 2026-27 school year. Board members noted the policy resources used (WASB samples) and that the curricula and staff training modules from DPI will support implementation.
