Town says lead service‑line survey nearly complete; unknowns could trigger replacement work

The operator warned that if the Department of Health treats the remaining unknown service lines as lead, the town could have to plan and budget for excavation and replacement work until inspections prove otherwise. “That is due into the Department of Health by October 16,” the operator stated, noting the town will pursue outreach through local news and door‑to‑door follow up to avoid unnecessary replacement costs.
