The Minnewaska Area Schools Board voted unanimously Nov. 17 to approve Memorandums of Understanding with local partners that identify designated temporary relocation and reunification sites for students and staff in the event of an evacuation. The motion was made by T. Reichmann and seconded by Barsness; roll-call vote recorded all ayes.
The MOUs outline mutual understanding and responsibilities for relocation and reunification procedures to improve preparedness and safety. The board approved the agreements as presented and directed the administration to maintain the MOUs for district emergency planning.
