Andrew Sherr, the district's accounting manager, reviewed pre-audit financial statements and cautioned that balance-sheet adjustments remain while the profit-and-loss statement is relatively stable. "Cash and investments ended 2025 at 38,600,000," Sherr said, adding the general fund declined while water and sewer funds showed year-end increases driven by transfers and grants.
Sherr itemized several significant balances: a $6,800,000 transfer from general fund to water fund for Magic Creek construction; property tax receivable of $6,400,000; grants receivable of $3,500,000; and noncurrent long-term debt of approximately $17,300,000 (largely SRF loan draws). He also noted an earlier $500,000 personnel-related adjustment that will affect final year-end close.
