The Common Council approved four ordinances on second reading by a single voice vote. The ordinances amend the municipal code related to signs (amending sections 22.111–22.271) and adjust traffic-control and parking rules, including relocated stop signs and no-parking designations at Middleton Beach Road/Mendota Avenue and the addition of Dewey Court to the exclusion from alternate-side winter parking.
Alder Myers thanked neighbors who engaged with public-works and license-and-ordinance committees on these items. Alder Baines asked for clarity that the Dewey Court ordinance includes elimination of alternate-side parking in winter; public-works staff confirmed the relevant section (15.045(c)(2)) covers that change. Council approved all four ordinances en bloc.
