Board orders replacement of aging fuel tanks after PESH-related violations

The Chair said the board previously approved replacement of the fuel tanks and that contractors have been identified for the three main tasks: tank delivery, system setup and reclamation/disposal of the old tanks. He stated the work is scheduled for March 31–April 1 and noted the town has already made a down payment. The Chair said the superintendent estimated reimbursement at roughly "75 to 80%". A council member asked whether the tanks had been declared unsafe; the Chair said the town is replacing them preemptively to avoid leaks and environmental consequences.
