Chair (speaker 2) opened the meeting at 5:30 p.m. and staff presented the required publication details.
A staff presenter (Staff member) said the tax rate on the notice is unchanged from the proposal. "The tax rate isn't changing," the staff member said while reviewing the legal copy and timeline for publication. The presenter emphasized the notice contains the required legal language and that readers will see the adoption hearing date on Aug. 25. The board did not take a final adoption vote at the meeting; it approved moving forward with the legal notice and returning on Aug. 25 for the formal adoption.
