Cascade HS highlights college fair, expands CTE with OSHA10 training

Ms. Wallisa, the district’s High School Assistant Principal and CTE Director, told the board that the first trimester focused on college preparation and the second will emphasize career pathways. She said the district hosted a college fair with Cascade and six other schools that drew roughly 30 colleges as well as agriculture and business partners and military branches.
Ms. Wallisa also reported that staff member John Iverson obtained OSHA10 certification; the district plans to incorporate that certification into second- and third-trimester student training. She noted partnerships with Willamette Work Ready and the Willamette Career Academy and said she will return with data on trends showing trade programs versus four-year college enrollment.
