The Wrenshall School Board on Jan. 21, 2025 certified its Pay 2025 property tax levy at $1,529,201.92, a motion that passed 6–0. Director Eric Ankrum moved the levy resolution and Director Misty Bergman seconded it.
The action came during a meeting in the Wrenshall School Library Media Center that also included standard business items: approval of minutes, acceptance of the business office report and a consent agenda of personnel appointments and changes. The board’s business report noted the general fund balance is anticipated to grow by about two percent under the current snapshot.
Board members heard informational reports from Principal Michelle Blanchard, who asked for additional administrative support to manage rising enrollment, and from Community Education Coordinator Katie Beck, who previewed proposed childcare rate increases for fiscal 2026 that the board later approved. The meeting packet included a notice that no residents spoke at the Dec. 10 Truth-in-Taxation hearing on the levy.
