Jordan Volunteer Fire Department: new truck build, recruitment and fundraiser announced

He reported an accident involving Engine 1 that resulted in a flat tire; no one was injured and the department may swap tires with Engine 2 if feasible.
Fietta said the department has recruited five new members and is ordering new protective gear for personnel. He announced a Corn Hole Tournament fundraiser scheduled for Nov. 11 at Kegs Canalside. He also warned that increased OSHA training requirements could make it harder to retain or recruit volunteers, noting the state-required classes the department has been attending.
The board thanked the department for the update; no formal action or funding request for the truck or training was taken at the Oct. 28 meeting.
