Supervisor Greg presented a Section 284 paving agreement submitted by the highway superintendent for state CHIPS/CHIPS-equivalent highway funding. The draft describes two projects: an overlay on Ryan Road (from Route 23C to Peck Road, about 0.8 miles) and work on Scribner Hollow (about 1.2 miles to the Hunter Town line). Greg identified signatures from three board members as sufficient to allow the highway superintendent to proceed with filing for funds.
Greg said the paperwork appeared to show roughly $78,000 set aside to pave one segment and referenced a larger figure on the form; he asked board members to sign two identical copies so the superintendent could move forward. Members indicated they would sign their copies after the meeting to allow the superintendent to start the project under the usual CHIPS procedures.
