The Hemingford Public Schools Board of Education on Sept. 15 unanimously adopted the district—s 2025–26 budget. Board member Justin Ansley moved to approve the budget, which trustees approved by a 6-0 roll call vote.
The adopted budget lists a General Fund of $8,902,899; Depreciation Fund $326,838; Employee Benefit Fund $107,546; Activities Fund $595,823; School Nutrition Fund $447,370; Special Building Fund $3,643,631; Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking Fund $130,975; Cooperative Fund $105,712; and Student Fee Fund $0. The total for all funds is $14,260,794.
Board members said the Finance Committee had prepared the figures and presented work to the full board during the meeting. The board also approved related financial motions during the session, including vendor claims and short-term investments to manage fund balances.
The district will operate under the adopted appropriations and will next review policy series 200.00 through 204.01 at the October meeting.
