Jena Benologa was elected chair of the North Clackamas School District 12 Board for the 2025–2026 school year after Director Tory McVay nominated her during the July 7 open session. Superintendent Shay James asked the board for nominations; no other nominations were made and the board recorded a unanimous 6-0 vote to approve the nomination.
Benologa then nominated Tory McVay for vice chair; that nomination also drew no opposition and was approved unanimously, 6-0. The actions were recorded under agenda items R25/26-1 and R25/26-2. The board’s roll call of voting members for both approvals was Benologa, Dobson, Kemp, McVay, Olson and Tamtreng.
