Keene board appoints new registrar, deputy registrar and approves training in Albany

The Town Board of Keene voted to appoint Robyn Shumer as Registrar and David Hyman as Deputy Registrar beginning Jan. 1, 2026. The appointment resolution (286-2025) was introduced by Robert Biesemeyer, seconded by Ann Hough, and adopted unanimously.
The board also approved Robyn Shumer attending NYAOT training in Albany Jan. 14–16, 2026 (resolution 287-2025), a staff development step the board said would help ensure a smooth transfer of registrar responsibilities. Separately, the board reappointed James Goodwin to the Board of Assessment Review (resolution 285-2025).
