Jordan orders village signs, moves forward on historian talks and Canal Path lighting

Trustee Simko reported that new village signs were ordered Aug. 23 and expected late Sept. to early Oct.; Fastsigns recommended replacing posts (eight Douglas Fir 4x4s, $98.88). Trustee Simko told the board that the village's new signs were ordered Aug. 23, 2024 and are expected back between Sept. 27 and Oct. 4. He said Fastsigns recommended replacing the existing posts with Douglas Fir 4x4 posts and provided an estimate of $98.88 for eight posts.
Trustee Simko also reported that the historian job description had been reviewed and that the Boards of Elbridge and Jordan, plus their liaisons and historians, "have collectively agreed to move forward with further talks regarding the consolidation." He said wooden stakes were placed along the Canal Path to show where new solar lights will be installed and that adjustments had been made after the initial layout.
