Sal Sciuga Jr of Sciuga Builders presented two blueprint options for homes in the Private Development District. One plan includes 715 sq ft on the first floor plus 200 sq ft on a second floor; the other is a single-story 816 sq ft layout. Chris Pier and Alyssa Jankowski attended the meeting as residents interested in building smaller homes under the PDD.
Mayor Brim reported that he and others had discussed the amendment wording and said they all agreed with the plan “with the exception of the wording in regard to the first floor, should read 817 sq ft.” The Board did not adopt any final amendment language at the Aug. 12 meeting; the presentation served as a review of proposed designs and phrasing before a future amendment process.
Board members indicated the units were offset on the property to allow future additions to meet code, and attendees were told the plans were intended to be flexible if owners later wished to expand.
