Pendleton board approves personnel report with new hires, renewals and resignations; director recused on family renewal

Director of Human Resources Kevin Dinning presented the personnel report and the Board approved the recommendations at the July 14 meeting.
New certified hires listed included Dana DeCasas (Special Education Teacher, WES), Hayleigh Botkin (Grade 5 Teacher, MES) and Courtney Hanson (Grade 2 Teacher, WES). Contract renewals included Monique Miller (ASL Interpreter, SMS), Stacey Jacobs (TAPP, WES) and Jill Gregg (ASPIRE Coordinator, PHS). Resignations included Faith Lindley (Assistant Principal, SHE), Shelby Torgeson (Special Education Teacher, SHE), Emilee Oja (Math Teacher, SMS) and several classified staff. Director Patrick Gregg recused himself from action on a family member's contract renewal; Director Ryan Lehnert moved to approve the personnel recommendations and Director Anne Keeler seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The personnel changes will be reflected in district staffing for the 2025-26 year. The minutes record the recusal and the approvals but contain no additional explanation about the family relationship.
