Beth Harrison was elected board chair and Anne Keeler was elected vice chair for the 2025-26 school year during the Pendleton School District 16R regular meeting on July 14, 2025.
Director Ryan Lehnert moved that Anne Keeler be elected vice chair; Director Mason Murphy seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Later, Director Jill Pace moved that Beth Harrison be elected chair; Director Murphy seconded, the motion carried unanimously, and Harrison continued the meeting as the new chair. Vice Chair Harrison earlier administered the oath of office to newly appointed Director Ryan DeGrofft. The oath recited included the line, "I, ___________________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the constitution of the United States, the constitution of the state of Oregon, and the laws thereof, and the policies of the Pendleton School District 16R."
The elections were routine and carried without dissent; no ballots or individual vote breaks were recorded in the minutes. The board's reorganization follows Policy BC (Organizational Meeting) and will govern leadership for the coming year.
