Director Megan Kronsteiner-Cahill moved to appoint Tim Crider as the interim superintendent and authorized Board Chair Nathan McClintock to negotiate the interim superintendent’s contract with a proposed salary range of $183,000 to $240,000; Director DeAnne Wiedenmann seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously, 7-0.
Earlier in the meeting, the board also adopted a motion to pursue an internal promotion pool for the superintendent vacancy, using criteria from the previous search finalists as the basis for selecting candidates. The public hearing on the superintendent vacancy was opened and closed with no public comments recorded. The interim appointment is set through the end of the calendar year per the minutes.
The minutes record the appointment and the salary-range authorization but do not include a final contract or exact start and end dates beyond the stated end of the calendar year. The chair was authorized to negotiate terms and return finalized documents to the board as required.
