Board approves MidAmerican Energy permit and Litterdale water service work

Secondary roads staff (Matt) briefed the board on two utility permits. The first involves MidAmerican Energy replacing poles and lines along roughly a half-mile corridor between 235th and 243rd; the second covers a water service repair and installation in Litterdale to address a leaking service at 315 South Main.
"1st 1 is for MidAmerican Energy. They are looking to replace bills and wires on the ranch from 235th to 243 and 0.5 mile," Matt said while describing the proposed alignment and noted staff did not foresee issues with the work's placement. Board members raised concerns about sight lines and asked that right-of-way placement be checked before pole relocation; staff said MidAmerican attempted to place poles where alignment and existing concrete bases allowed.
The board moved and seconded approval of both permits and voted by voice; staff will follow up on any state or city right-of-way checks if required.
