Superintendent Susan Penrod told the board the measure will be a renewal, not a tax increase, and is expected to generate "a little over eleven million dollars over five years" to pay for staffing. Penrod said the levy funds the equivalent of approximately 14 teaching positions. "It is important for the community to know that this is a renewal, not an increase and this should be clearly communicated," she said.
