Commissioner Mike Daley said traffic calming and pedestrian safety are among his top priorities for the coming year. "So if I had to pick 1 thing, it would be traffic calming and traffic safety," Daley said, adding he expects the board to address this at a priorities meeting scheduled "in a couple of weeks."
Daley said the concern about traffic calming is shared by several new commissioners and by residents in his ward. He described constituent complaints and the board's approach as deliberative: major policy changes are considered carefully, while staff handle many urgent, individual requests. Daley framed the board's voting calculus around whether proposals would make the township "a more desirable place to live."
