Regarding Outdoor School, Penrod explained the state reduced funding and the district will "pick up the gap this year," so fifth graders can attend the overnight program without families paying out of pocket. Board members asked how students for the equity committee will be chosen; Penrod said she will engage student groups to achieve a diverse committee.
