The Kinderhook Village Board announced a public hearing on a proposed Vacant Property Registration local law (Local Law #1-2025) to be held on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in Village Hall. Code Enforcement Officer Trevor Bean presented the final draft and reported four new projects, four property transfers, about $117,600 in recent improvements and two outstanding violations.
Mayor Dorene Weir announced the hearing date and location to allow public input before the board considers adoption. The board did not take a final vote on the local law at the Dec. 11 meeting; the announcement schedules the next procedural step and invites residents to comment at the Jan. 8 hearing.
