The Spring Branch Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously May 5 to direct district legal counsel to consult with the administration and expert witnesses and to follow the steps set forth in the judge's memorandum opinion and order so the board may obtain a final order allowing an appeal in Elizondo v. Spring Branch ISD.
The motion, made by Board President Lisa Andrews Alpe and seconded by Vice President Courtney Anderson, was recorded in the minutes as: "Motion made by President Alpe and seconded by Vice President Courtney Anderson that the Board direct SBISD legal counsel to consult with the district administration and expert witnesses to follow the steps set forth in the judge's order SO that the Board may obtain a final order from the judge, allowing the Board to pursue an appeal." The motion passed by a 7-0 vote.
